The Idle Theme Theatre Company Presents
 The Winter's Tale

Fri 20 and Sat 21 July 7pm

The Idle Theme Theatre Company presents the Shakespeare classic
in the grounds of Poltimore House.

If the weather is inclement the performance will take place in the Chapel.

First performed in 1611 the play follows the intrigue of romance between the royal families of Sicilla and Bohemia.

An unseasonal title for a seasonal summer's outing. Shakespeare's late romance The Winter's Tale includes everything needed for magical outdoor theatre; a statue that comes to life, a lost princess, a sheep-shearing festival, a roguish clown and a happy ending. Moving between the different worlds of Sicilia and Bohemia, Idle Theme will bring to life the play that first brought audiences the famous stage direction - "Exit pursued by a bear".

Tickets available in advance or on the door
Refreshments will be available
